My MOTU Movie I'll Never See Part 8

*Easter Egg*

DUNCAN gives TEELA a quick hug and runs out of the frame.  Cut to EXT VINE JUNGLE as HE-MAN rockets toward CASTLE GRAYSKULL in the ROAD RIPPER.  From HE-MAN’S POV, we have bright lights covering the castle in an aura.  Some of the light appears to be emanating from the chasm in front of the castle.  Barely noticeable at the jawbridge are two people fighting.  Cut back to HE-MAN as the ROAD RIPPER gains speed.  Just as we pan across with it, a large elephant-like creature plows through the nearby trees and tramples over HE-MAN and the ROAD RIPPER.  We see BEAST MAN riding on top of the animal and laughing.  With a single bound, HE-MAN jumps on the creature’s back and lands in front of BEAST MAN.  He lifts BEAST MAN and brings him to eye level.  *Filmation animation*  BEAST MAN brings both of his fists down on HE-MAN’S shoulders and breaks his grip.  He swings at HE-MAN, but HE-MAN dodges him.  He grabs BEAST MAN by the harness and hurls him back into the VINE JUNGLE.

HE-MAN

I don’t have time for your antics.

HE-MAN jumps off the creature and runs toward CASTLE GRAYSKULL.  Cut to DUNCAN, KRASS and KITTRINA in a WIND RAIDER flying above the VINE JUNGLE.  HAWKE flies around them and we pan down to see SKELETOR’S army traveling in the same direction.

HAWKE

What do we do about them?

DUNCAN

Do not engage.  Mekaneck, I repeat, do not engage.  Evasive maneuvers only.  We cannot waste any more time getting to Castle Grayskull.

Cut to MEKANECK on a ROAD RIPPER approaching the army.  Cut to SKELETOR’S soldiers as they march.  One looks up at HAWKE and the WIND RAIDER and begins firing a laser rifle. Other surrounding warriors begin attacking.  Cut to HAWKE and the WIND RAIDER banking away from the shots.  Cut back to TRI-KLOPS and WHIPLASH as they turn to see what their warriors are attacking. Close up on TRI-KLOPS as he smiles looking to the sky.  The lens of his visor glows, powering up a blast to fire.  Cut to a close up on MEKANECK on the ROAD RIPPER.  The vehicle gains speed and we pull back to see him draw his club from a compartment near his lap.  Go to a down shot of the ROAD RIPPER with MEKANECK’S club extended from the side driving into the army.  Cut to MEKANECK’S POV shot as his club knocks down the villains one by one and approaches TRI-KLOPS.  Cut back to the close up on TRI-KLOPS.  We see him fall just as MEKANECK’S club hits him across the abdomen.  Go to a close up on MEKANECK smirking.

MEKANECK

Whoops!

Cut back to SKELETOR’S army as the ROAD RIPPER drives away.  WHIPLASH strikes his tail at the vehicle and we go to a close up of it wrapping around part of the rear.  Go to a close up on WHIPLASH as he looks certain of himself.  Then we see his face go to complete surprise as he’s pulled down out of frame.  We follow the ROAD RIPPER beginning to fishtail as it drags WHIPLASH.  Cut to close up on MEKANECK as he turns around and sees WHIPLASH.  His face turns to surprise just as he turns back to see what’s in front of him.  Pull back to the ROAD RIPPER rocketing past HE-MAN running.  HE-MAN starts running harder past the frame.

Cut to EXT PALACE OF ETERNOS.  RANDOR stands with MARELNA next to where BATTLE CAT lies on the ground.  He is armed with his sword and speaks with TEELA.  We focus on RANDOR and TEELA as she reports on the immediate action her guards are taking with the breached wall and rescue efforts.  BATTLE CAT’S roar interrupts their conversation.  The look over and see him back on his feet without his helmet.  *King of Castle Grayskull mini-comic*  He runs toward TEELA and hurls her into the air with a swipe from one of his front paws.  All the nearby guards train their weapons on BATTLE CAT.  TEELA lands backwards on BATTLE CAT’S saddle and he breaks into a sprint as she calls for him to stop.  Cut to RANDOR as he runs after them and stops.  The guards lower their weapons and look to one another.

RANDOR

Could this day get any stranger?

Pull up to a far shot of BATTLE CAT carrying TEELA through the damaged wall and going toward the VINE JUNGLE.   Cut to EXT VINE JUNGLE as the sun has just set.  HE-MAN racing next to MEKANECK driving the ROAD RIPPER and failing to keep control of it.  MEKANECK extends his head over to HE-MAN.

MEKANECK

If you can get him off my tail, I would be most grateful.

HE-MAN

There’s no point.  You won’t regain control.  

HE-MAN lunges at the ROAD RIPPER.  We get a close up of HE_MAN tearing the safety harness of the vehicle and pulling MEKANECK with him as they fall onto the ground into a roll together.  They look up and we follow their POV as the ROAD RIPPER continues speeding out of control, hits a rock and goes into a roll.  WHIPLASH is flung into the thicker part of the VINE JUNGLE as the vehicle continues rolling until it explodes.  Cut to SHARELLA and EVIL-LYN as they fight on the jawbridge.  Close up on them as they notice the explosion.

HE-MAN (V.O.)

Sharella!!!

Go to a far shot of SHARELLA’S POV.  HE-MAN is on his feet with his sword drawn running toward CASTLE GRAYSKULL.  Cut back to SHARELLA and EVIl-LYN.  EVIL-LYN cries out and shoots a magic bolt out of her wand.  Just as the wand fires, SHARELLA strikes EVIl-LYN in the face with her elbow.  Cut back to HE-MAN as he deflects the wild bolt with his sword.  It flies toward CASTLE GRAYSKULL and the aura of SKELETOR’S magic deflects it.  Pan up to SKELETOR controlling the gun turret at the right parapet of the castle.  He fires at HE-MAN.  Cut to an overhead zooming shot of HE-MAN with his sword ready to deflect it.  SHARELLA jumps in from out of frame and knocks him out of the way.  Cut to SHARELLA as she is pelted with the laser fire.  She screams out and drops her staff.  Cut to SKELETOR’S reaction as he screams in frustration.  He brings the HAVOC STAFF up and fires a steady stream of magical energy at SHARELLA.  SHARELLA howls in agony and we go back to SKELETOR laughing.

SKELETOR

Where is your strength now, you so-called Goddess?  I can feel your life fading from you in this very moment.  So much power!  Soon Castle Grayskull’s secrets will be revealed to me!!

Cut back to SHARELLA enveloped in SKELETOR’S energy.  HE-MAN steps toward her with his shield raised and interrupts the stream.  The energy fades away from SHARELLA and she collapses.  HE-MAN cries out as he lunges into the energy stream with his shield and forces it back at SKELETOR.  Cut back to SKELETOR getting knocked back and looking up to see the WIND RAIDER and HAWKE flying toward the castle.  He aims the turret at them and fires, hitting the WIND RAIDER.  Cut to the WIND RAIDER as DUNCAN raises the face shield of his armor and tells KITTRINA and KRASS to prepare for a crash landing.  Fire and smoke are everywhere.  KRASS looks down and jumps out of the WIND RAIDER.  We follow as he goes down to the ground head first.  He quickly gets up and shakes his head.  Go back to DUNCAN and KITTRINA preparing to jump from the WIND RAIDER as it careens toward the castle.  Get a close up on KRASS as he notices them and pull back as he runs and jumps in their direction.  We cut back to DUNCAN and KITTRINA jumping out of the WIND RAIDER.  KRASS jumps into the frame and catches them in each arm.  They all three land hard on the ground.

SKELETOR raises a hand and the WIND RAIDER stops in midair before it hits CASTLE GRAYSKULL.  He balls his hand into a fist and the vehicle crumples like it were caught in a compactor.  He waves his HAVOC STAFF and hurls it into the chasm.  He storms away back into the castle.  Cut to a close up of HE-MAN kneeling at SHARELLA.  Smoke is coming off her body and she coughs up blood.

HE-MAN

I could’ve taken that hit.

SHARELLA

It was too great of a risk.  Skeletor has absorbed most of the Sorceress’ energy and the castle’s magic.  He’s been channeling that force through every attack he’s made after breaching our defenses.  You must save the Sorceress and stop him from conquering the castle at all costs.

HE-MAN

I will.  Just rest.

SHARELLA

I believe Skeletor knows he needs the Sorceress alive to access The Power.  He’ll kill her once she is of no use to him.  The Staff of Ka…

They both look to the staff on the ground just a few feet away from them.

SHARELLA

Make sure Teela gets it.  If you’re too late to save the Sorceress, Teela’s destiny will be revealed to her through the staff… just as you have found yours through the sword.  She must take up the Staff of Ka.  She must take her mother’s place and protect Castle Grayskull…

SHARELLA coughs up more blood.

HE-MAN

Wait…

SHARELLA

Adam, you are the worthiest one I’ve known to control The Power…

She dies as her eyes remain open and her head falls to the side.  HE-MAN closes her eyes and sets her down.  He goes to pick up the STAFF OF KA just as DUNCAN and the other heroes run to him.  HE-MAN turns to DUNCAN and hands him the staff.

HE-MAN

She told me to give this to Teela.   You have to return to the palace and make certain she gets it.  I don’t know if I’m able to stop Skeletor.

DUNCAN

We all can do it together.  We will stop him no matter what the cost.

HE-MAN

Perhaps, but I don’t want the Goddess’ death to be in vain.  This staff is meant for Teela, and it’s just as important for her to get it as it is for me to regain control of Castle Grayskull.

Their attention is drawn to calamity from out of frame.  Cut to BATTLE CAT carrying TEELA and running away from the coming army of villains.  A few of the soldiers try to attack them as they flee, but TEELA kicks them away and BATTLE CAT knocks them aside with his claws.  He leaps out toward HE-MAN and DUNCAN and turns to face the army.  Teela jumps off BATTLE CAT’S saddle and passes HE-MAN as he runs toward BATTLE CAT.  HE-MAN messes up BATTLE CAT’S fur on top of his head and laughs.

HE-MAN

I should’ve known nothing would stop you, Cat!  Can you help us hold the line?

BATTLE CAT gives a reassuring roar.  All of the heroes rush to HE-MAN and BATTLE CAT.  HE-MAN begins to back away from the group as they stand ready to fight.

HE-MAN

Thank you all for your help.  Your selflessness and courage are beyond compare.  It has been said the one controls Grayskull can become godlike, a master of the universe.  I harness power that is greater than one man is meant to control, or should control.  Tonight we stand our ground for Grayskull against this force of evil as the rightful masters of the universe.

Cut to DUNCAN next to TEELA.  He tosses her the STAFF OF KA without looking and she catches it.  A slight glow overtakes her and she doesn’t exactly notice it as it fades away.

TEELA

What’s this?

DUNCAN

What does it look like, Captain?  It’s a weapon.  Use it.

TEELA

A stick.  You expect me to fight Skeletor’s army with a stick?

She reaches to a holster at DUNCAN’S hip and draws a laser blaster.  She begins firing it at the army, not missing a shot.  She twirls the blaster from the trigger guard and hands it to DUNCAN.

TEELA

Now that’s a weapon.

HE-MAN (V.O.)

Teela!

She turns her attention to HE-MAN and we follow her focus.  He stands in the glow of the forming dusk.

HE-MAN

I need your help…

TEELA runs to HE-MAN as DUNCAN leads the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE into battle.  Cut to TEELA and HE-MAN as they run toward CASTLE GRAYSKULL.

TEELA

So, what’s the plan?

HE-MAN

You need to find the Sorceress and get her to safety inside the castle while I distract Skeletor.

TEELA

Who’s the Sorceress?

HE-MAN

Don’t worry.  You’ll know her when you see her.

HE-MAN runs away from TEELA as SKELETOR fires the gun turret at him.  HE-MAN deflects a blast with his shield while another blast brings up an explosion right next to him.  HE-MAN nearly makes it to the edge just before the abyss and notices SKELETOR aim the turret at TEELA as she enters the castle.

HE-MAN

Skeletor!  It’s not her you want; it’s me.

HE-MAN makes a high jump toward the top of the parapet with his arms stretched out above him.  *Golden Book Thief of Castle Grayskull*  SKELETOR brings the gun turret back around and shoots HE-MAN in the center of his harness.  The tight aura of THE POWER flashes around HE-MAN’S body from the shot.  HE-MAN loses his sword from his grasp and we go into a slow-motion capture of it spinning in the air as it flies toward SKELETOR.  Cut to slow-motion shots of HE-MAN as he falls and SKELETOR as he reaches for the sword.  SKELETOR catches the sword just before it falls short of the parapet’s edge.  He raises it above his head with the HAVOC STAFF in the other while he laughs in triumph.  HE-MAN clutches a stone jutting from the parapet with his free hand and looks up to SKELETOR.  We go back to real time shifting focus between HE-MAN and SKELETOR.

SKELETOR

This is not your sword.  It is but an instrument to expedite your death.  Yes, you may fight.  Yes, you may struggle.  Your efforts are folly and only contribute to my amusement.  I’ve just killed a goddess and control the fortress that houses The Power.  Despite all you think you’ve accomplished in your defiance against me claiming my destiny, I see no real threat in the futile posturing of an inept man-child pretending to be the savior of Eternia.  Killing you will carry as much weight as the unmindful act of squashing a bug under my heel.

SKELETOR brings the HAVOC STAFF up and fires a magical bolt at HE-MAN.  HE-MAN falls to the jawbridge and nearly slips into the abyss.  He clambers up to the jawbridge and runs into the castle as SKELETOR fires another magical bolt at him and misses.  Cut to INT CASTLE GRAYSKULL.  TEELA walks in total darkness as the cobra carving on the top of the STAFF OF KA emits a glow.  She hears EVIL-LYN laugh and becomes more cautious.  

EVIL-LYN (V.O.)

Ironic how you’re here instead of He-Man.  From what I can tell, it seems somewhat like a family reunion.  Wouldn’t you say?

TEELA

You’re no family of mine, Evil-Lyn.

EVIL-LYN (V.O.)

I believe you misunderstand what I’m saying.

TEELA turns just as EVIL-LYN finishes her line to see a single down light washing over SORCERESS.  She is on her knees and bound by a glowing magical construct similar to the bonds for the Phantom Zone prisoners in “Man of Steel”.  TEELA takes a step toward SORCERESS.

TEELA

He-Man wasn’t lying about her.

EVIL-LYN steps in front of TEELA blocking her path with her staff trained on her.

EVIL-LYN

And like He-Man, you wield an artifact you know nothing about.  The Staff of Ka!  The wise thing to do is surrender it to someone who knows how to unlock its true potential.

TEELA

You’re right.  Why don’t I unlock its potential to mop the floor with you?

TEELA attacks EVIL-LYN.  They battle staff-to-staff as SORCERESS is wearily observing.  TEELA shows her physical prowess as EVIL-LYN utilizes various magical constructs and projectiles.  Every time EVIL-LYN’S magic connects with the STAFF OF KA, a golden glow emits from it.  As the fight draws to a close, TEELA lunges at EVIL-LYN into a cartwheel-like kick.  EVIL-LYN steps aside and fires a magical bolt at TEELA’S leg just as she lands.  TEELA falls to the floor opposite of SORCERESS.  EVIL-LYN takes a step toward TEELA with her glowing staff trained on her.

EVIL-LYN

It seems rather unfortunate for your life to end so tragically, so young.  Just remember, it’s our own actions that pave the course fate sets for us.  

Just as EVIL-LYN fires her magical bolt, SORCERESS jumps into the frame and knocks her aside.  The bolt shoots past TEELA and goes out of frame.  Cut to HE-MAN approaching the light and bringing his shield up to block the magical bolt.  He reaches behind his back and takes out his axe.  He approaches EVIL-LYN and twirls the axe once by its handle.  EVIL-LYN screams in frustration and disappears in a magical burst.  TEELA scoffs and then hisses in pain as HE-MAN approaches her.  He kneels next to her and looks down at her leg.  Her wound is similar to Julie’s in the 1987 film.

TEELA

Where’s your sword?

HE-MAN

Skeletor has it.

TEELA

Guess that plan of yours is working out well for all of us, huh?

HE-MAN

I’ll get it back.  He hasn’t won yet.

SORCERESS (V.O.)

The Staff of Ka…

HE-MAN and TEELA look to SORCERESS struggling to raise up while still restrained.

SORCERESS

It can free me.  Teela, please…

TEELA

He-Man take it and do something.

SORCERESS

No, it has to be you, child.

HE-MAN helps TEELA to SORCERESS.  TEELA points the glowing cobra end to the construct and it breaks away from SORCERESS.  

TEELA

I don’t know how…  How do you even know my name?

HE-MAN

The Sorceress of Castle Grayskull is telepathic, psychic.  She uses her powers to help guide me.

SORCERESS

And I could see the goodness in your heart as you fought to protect a defenseless stranger.  I knew you could guide the staff to break EVIL-LYN’S dark hold over me.

SORCERESS gets to her feet and holds her hand out.  A white glow covers it.  Cut to TEELA’S wound as the same white glow covers it and fades away to reveal it has been healed.  TEELA begins to put weight on her leg.  Cut to her surprised expression as she looks at HE-MAN and cut back to SORCERESS.

SORCERESS

Time is of the essence, He-Man.  Follow the path.  It will lead you to Skeletor.

She raises her hand and a cobblestone staircase appears from the blackness next to them.  HE-MAN runs up the staircase as we focus on SORCERESS and TEELA.

SORCERESS

Evil-Lyn didn’t know the Staff of Ka is right where it belongs.  Help you father and your allies outside of the castle.  The staff will help protect you.  Seek out the armor of the fallen Warrior Goddess Sharella.

SORCERESS holds out her open palm and an image of SHARELLA lying dead in the grass appears before TEELA.  SHARELLA’S body fades away leaving only her armor.

SORCERESS

Find the armor and you will discover the staff’s true potential.

TEELA runs toward the jawbridge.  Cut to EXT CASTLE GRAYSKULL.  TEELA runs off the jawbridge and looks up to see SKELETOR shooting down into the battle.  She charges into the fray and takes out a few soldiers as she makes her way to the point she was shown by SORCERESS.  We follow her as she eventually finds the armor.  Just as she reaches down to take the armor, BEAST MAN comes into the frame and lunges at her.  HAWKE swoops down and shoots at him with a blaster.  As she flies away, he strikes at her with his whip and wraps the end around her ankle.  BEAST MAN drags HAWKE down and slams her to the ground.  TEELA calls out to HAWKE and starts to run toward BEAST MAN, but she stops and turns to look back at the armor.  She quickly straps it onto her chest and picks up the STAFF OF KA.  TEELA’S eyes widen as she gasps.  All the sound around her becomes muffled and the battle slows down.  She focuses in on BEAST MAN as he brings his claws up to strike down on HAWKE.  The action returns to normal speed as TEELA plants the end of the staff down into the ground vaults forward to kick BEAST MAN in the back.  He flies into a group of soldiers.  TEELA helps HAWKE to her feet.  HAWKE thanks her and immediately warns TEELA to look out behind her.  Close up on TEELA as we go back to slow-motion.  TRAP JAW’S mechanical arm with the hook attachment reaches over TEELA’S shoulder to overpower her.  We get a close up on his face as his metal jaw opens menacingly over TEELA’S head.  The frame goes back to regular speed as TEELA thrusts the staff underneath TRAP JAW’S jaw.  She grabs his mechanical arm and throws him down to the ground.  DUNCAN approaches her as she grabs her staff ready to continue fighting.

DUNCAN

Teela, you…

TEELA

We can’t let Skeletor’s forces advance.  I have faith He-Man will defeat him.

Cut to INT CASTLE GRAYSKULL as HE-MAN reaches the top of the stairs.  A wooden door is in the ceiling above him.  He opens it and we follow him into the parapet’s landing right behind SKELETOR while he fires the gun turret into the battle outside of the VINE JUNGLE.  SKELETOR doesn’t notice HE-MAN over the sounds of the gun fire.  HE-MAN takes a moment to observe the scene.  He then pulls up the door and tears it off its hinges.  SKELETOR turns and sees HE-MAN.  He then picks up the sword and moves to attack, but HE-MAN slams the end of the door into his chest.  *Golden Book “The Trap” cover*  SKELETOR drops the sword and reaches down to get it.  HE-MAN arms himself with his axe and shield.  He brings the axe down on the gun turret and destroys it.  SKELETOR jumps into frame and slashes at him with the sword.  HE-MAN defends himself, but in the fight, SKELETOR disarms him of his axe.  After defending with just his shield, HE-MAN tosses it aside as SKELETOR winds up for a big flourish.  He jumps above SKELETOR as he misses with the sword.  HE-MAN brings his fist down harder than he has before on SKELETOR’S head.  We get the sound of thunder as the punch connects and see SKELETOR fall to the floor and drop the sword.  *Thunder Punch He-Man action figure*  

HE-MAN goes to his sword and takes it up.  He holds the sword down and tells SKELETOR it’s all over.  SKELETOR raises his head and looks around past his shoulder beyond a 90-degree angle.  His eyes are glowing red with fury and there is a crack going down the frontal bone of his skull. *Scare Glow action figure*  Close up on SKELETOR as the crack seals up on its own.  As he gets up, we get the sound of multiple bones cracking and popping back into place.  Cut to HE-MAN shocked to see SKELETOR getting up from such a devastating blow.  Focus back on SKELETOR outstretching his hand.  The HAVOC STAFF flies into his grasp.  He attacks HE-MAN with the staff.  HE-MAN gets back to the edge of the parapet, nearly falling off.  He pushes SKELETOR back to the other side.  SKELETOR wastes no time in aiming the skull of the HAVOC STAFF toward HE-MAN and shooting a steady beam of energy at him just as he did with SHARELLA.  HE-MAN takes up his shield from the ground just before the beam hits him and deflects the energy back to SKELETOR.  This time it affects him much more with less distance between them.  HE-MAN is knocked back toward the edge of the parapet and the shield shatters as the last of the beam ricochets from it.  SKELETOR’S energy envelops him and he howls in agony.  HE-MAN wastes no time and launches himself at SKELETOR.

HE-MAN

This battle ends now! *”King of Castle Grayskull mini-comic scene*

With his free hand, HE-MAN punches SKELETOR in the face with the same force as before.  SKELETOR goes flying toward the furthest reaches of the abyss stretching past CASTLE GRAYSKULL.  HE-MAN’S momentum takes him over the edge and he falls toward the jawbridge again.  We cut to quick shots of the reactions from the main characters involved in the battle from the final blow delivered in HE-MAN and SKELETOR’S bout.  HE-MAN lands hard on the jawbridge.  The battle near the VINE JUNGLE comes to a halt as all the participants watch HE-MAN’S motionless body with anticipation.  Cut to BATTLE CAT stepping away from the group and galloping toward HE-MAN.  He goes to HE-MAN’S head and nudges it with his own.  After a few attempts, BATTLE CAT stops and hangs his head in disappointment.  HE-MAN slowly opens his eyes.  BATTLE CAT sees him and immediately lets out a roar just before HE-MAN stands.  He thanks BATTLE CAT, pats him on the head and gives him a scratch behind an ear.

Cut to HE-MAN POV as he looks at both armies still in awe of him.  Cut around to a shot of him standing on the jawbridge.  He raises his sword above his head and calls out “I have The Power!” as BATTLE CAT with his head low and ready to strike.  The energy of THE POWER comes from the abyss and channels through his sword.  *Promotional image of the 2002 reboot announcement*  Cut to the reactions of the villains with the light from THE POWER shining on them.  EVIL-LYN teleports in the middle of SKELETOR’S army and looks toward HE-MAN.  The light and the energy fade away and she looks at the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE and back at HE-MAN.  She calls for a retreat and SKELETOR’S forces scatter into the VINE JUNGLE.  The MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE cheer at once and make their way to HE-MAN.  ZOAR cries out and draws their attention to the sky as they watch her fly above the castle and disappear beyond the top of the skull.  Cut back to HE-MAN and we see SORCERESS approach him from behind.

SORCERESS

Your victory today is well deserved, He-Man.  I was unable to sense Skeletor after he fell into the abyss.  Without his leadership, his Council of Evil will make no further attempts to take over Castle Grayskull and should no longer be a problem.

HE-MAN

You’re right, Sorceress, but we all need to recognize the magnitude of this victory.

We get a close up on HE-MAN as he turns to address the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE.  

HE-MAN (V.O.)

One person cannot take credit for Skeletor’s defeat today.  Every one of us here was vital in our success.  

We go into a montage of scenes following these events as HE-MAN speaks.  First we get HE-MAN approaching RANDOR and MARLENA INT PALACE OF ETERNOS, THRONE ROOM.  RANDOR presents HE-MAN with a medal.  HE-MAN holds his hands up and smiles while RANDOR looks confused.  HE-MAN whispers in RANDOR’S ear and points out of frame.  We go to a shot of ORKO looking surprised.  He points to himself still unsure.  We then go to a shot of PHILLIP on crutches standing near MEKANECK, RAENIUS (now wearing armor like CLAMP CHAMP) and KRASS.  PHILLIP waves at ORKO.  RANDOR places the medal around ORKO’S neck.

HE-MAN (V.O.)

We cannot forget those who are unable to share in this glory.  Their contributions, their sacrifices will never be forgotten.  

Cut to INT CASTLE GRAYSKULL.  Close up on ELDOR’S book in SORCERESS’ hands.  We see a portrait of SHARELLA on one page and a passage dedicated to her on the other.  SORCERESS closes the book and we pull back to see ADAM, DUNCAN and CRINGER comforting her.

HE-MAN (V.O.)

We must cherish those closest to us because the forces of evil can strike at any time; especially when we least expect it.

Cut EXT PALACE OF ETERNOS as the MASTERS of the UNIVERSE return home.  We see RANDOR and MARLENA interacting with everyone.  Then ADAM comes into the frame behind RANDOR and MARLENA.  They turn around shocked to see him and embrace him.

HE-MAN (V.O.)

Our loved ones.  They’ll always be the reason we fight and drive us to be victorious and walk away from the battlefield.  Tonight’s triumph over evil was not just for Grayskull, or to protect The Power, but for all of Eternia.  Because that is who we are.  We are together on this amazing planet.  Species, races, social standing do not alter that fact.  We must come together for what is right.

Cut to INT PALACE OF ETERNOS, THRONE ROOM.  ADAM leads members of the GAR village to meet with RANDOR and MARLENA.  Cut to EXT GAR village as ADAM and RANDOR meet other members of the community.  Royal guards follow them and begin distributing food and supplies to the GARS.

HE-MAN (V.O.)

We saw where feelings of jealousy and oppression drove one man to step on the backs of so many to get what he desired.  

Cut to INT SNAKE MOUNTAIN with all the villains gathered in one area arguing.  EVIL-LYN’S staff begins to glow.  She steals away from the group and an image of SKELETOR’S face and an outstretched hand appears in the air.  She looks angry and moves her hand over the image making it disappear.

HE-MAN (V.O.)

Once we cross that line, we lose sight of our nigh-unattainable goal: peace, prosperity and acceptance.

Cut to EXT CASTLE GRAYSKULL.  HE-MAN still stands before the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE at the jawbridge.  We have a gradual zoom toward HE-MAN until he is the only character in the frame.

HE-MAN

Those were the principles my ancestor King Grayskull died for to make Eternia a better place for all its inhabitants.  While it’s easy to take up arms for this cause and stand against those who would threaten our lives, the greatest change we make for a better Eternia is within ourselves.  The universe began with one life and it will end with one life.  It is up to each and every one of us to make the right choice.  We all are Masters of the Universe because that’s where it starts.  Together, we have the power.

Cut to a closing credits montage of images from various key scenes of the film recreated like relief sculptures in the PALACE OF ETERNOS THRONE ROOM.  The credits end on the image of HE-MAN and BATTLE CAT in front of CASTLE GRAYSKULL after SKELETOR’S defeat.  Zoom into HE-MAN’S sword raised above his head and go to the MASTER’S OF THE UNIVERSE logo on black.

Cut to EXT VINE JUNGLE at the edge of the abyss.  We zoom toward the ground and see SKELETOR’S hand come up and clutch the earth.  Once the shot is established, a black gloved hand comes in from out of frame and grasps SKELETOR’S wrist.  Cut to SKELETOR in the abyss looking up surprised.  Pan up to reveal HORDAK helping him up.

HORDAK

What have we learned in today’s adventure?

HORDAK gets SKELETOR on the ground.  SKELETOR is down on one knee and holding the HAVOC STAFF upright from the ground.  Cut to an over the shoulder shot from HORDAK as he observes CASTLE GRAYSKULL in the distance.

HORDAK

I knew you would eventually unveil Castle Grayskull and breach its walls, but I can feel its magical wards sap my strength even at this distance.  I’ve waited so very long to take in this sight.

SKELETOR

Enjoy it because this is as close as you’ll get.

SKELETOR gets to his feet and hits HORDAK with the HAVOC STAFF completely enveloped in his magic.  HORDAK is sent into the air and we follow him in the shot.  Just before he hits the ground, he shoots energy from his hands and creates a portal.  He dives through the portal and it closes.  SKELETOR walks into the frame and looks down where the portal had been.

Cut to INT FRIGHT ZONE, HORDAK’S THRONE ROOM.  HORDAK’S portal opens just above the dais.  He slams down hard on the floor.  We see a few HORDE TROOPERS standing at attention near his throne.  HORDAK stands and looks ahead.  Cut to a young woman with short blonde hair dressed in black armor and a black cloak walking toward the frame.  This is ADORA.  We see a cobblestone dungeon behind her with various tech elements.  Two large archways can be seen near each other in the wall.  A large serpent-like body moves between them, but we do not see its head.  *Beastmonster from the Fright Zone playset*

ADORA

You wanted to see me, Lord Hordak?

HORDAK

Ah, Force Captain Adora.  Yes.  We have discovered a new resource on a distant planet called
Eternia.  This will be most vital to the expansion of our empire and I believe you are best suited to claim it for me.

ADORA

As you command, my lord.  I must make one request though.

HORDAK

And what would that be?

ADORA

Address me by the name our enemies fear: Despara.

Close up on ADORA as she puts a mask on her face crafted in HORDAK’S likeness.  She pulls the hood of her cloak onto her head.  We cut to black and resume with the closing credits.
